The 2022 ranking of world-class soft science disciplines was officially released (Canada)

Recently, the 2022 ranking of world-class disciplines in soft science was officially released. This ranking covers 54 disciplines, covering five fields: Science, engineering, life science, medicine and social science.

Basis of ranking:

Number of papers in important journals (Q1)

This indicator counts the number of article type papers in journals (Q1 partition) that are among the top 25% of the journal impact factors that have been included by the corresponding disciplines of the incites database in the past five years (2016-2020).

Paper standardization influence (CNCI)

It refers to the average value of the ratio of the number of citations of article type papers collected by the corresponding disciplines in the incites database in the past five years (2016-2020) to the number of citations of articles in the same publishing year, in the same subject, and in the same document type.

Proportion of international cooperation papers (IC)

This indicator counts the proportion of papers with foreign institution addresses in the article type papers included in the corresponding disciplines of incites database in the past five years (2016-2020).

Number of papers in top journals (top)

Refers to the number of papers published in top journals or conferences of corresponding disciplines in the past five years (2016-2020).

Number of authoritative awards won by teachers (award)

It refers to the equivalent number of teachers who have won the most authoritative international awards in this discipline since 1981.
